For anyone with a damaged airbeam for the Bala 6 - the Kampa Hayling 6 Air Tent is exactly the same dimensions, and replacement beams are available online - I bought one this summer as i managed to damage the valve on one of my beams. The Hayling 6 replacement fits perfectly. Not cheap at £50, but better than having to buy a new tent!

I had no joy when i contacted Gelert - just a very short 'we don't stock replacements' reply.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to slide in sideways --- champagne in one hand and strawberries in the other --- screaming... WOOHOO, WHAT A RIDE!"

Thats useful to know, thats at wolla.

The pics online show the Hayling 6 has a different shape to the beams - you haven't experienced a problem? The valves are located in the same place I assume?

Do you know if any of the Hayling accessories - the vestibule or the canopy for instance - fit the Bala 6?

Hi Wolla, are these still ok? The valves on my two rear air beams gave up the other week!

I too bought one of these tents whilst the £270 for 6 man air tent seems great the bladders are rubbish and are poorly sealed around the valves; as a result on its 2nd outing both long weekends 2 of the bladders started leaking. Gelert used to be quality brand hence my purchase it was only after that i reslised about Sportdirect acquisition. You get what you pay for..no direct spares are available.

Ive not tried the Kampa hayling bladder but i did find this site..
https://www.tentspares.co.uk/universal-inflatable-air-inner-tube-bladder-with-boston-valve-tent-pole/
That supplies custom bladders i ordered 625cm length with 60 cm valve height. I can confirm its a little longer than needed but fitted according to tentspare directions and pumped up looks great, not tried with full tent up just yet. But this bladder is < £50.

Ps im no expert on tents, but the other than lack of spares the gelert bala 6 is a great sized tent and i have seen no other major failings with it.

Hope this helps others on here
