Hello... I have been researching air tents for the last week now but just end up confusing myself.. can I get some personal recommendations of air tents that you have personally used and would happily recommend please...
My requirements are to have a tunnel type tent with either 2-3 bedrooms or 2 bedrooms with a side porch to put a porta loo in and hide away.. I like the idea of an attached canopy to sit under by day and to double up as a kitchen area... probably a 6 man size so I have plenty of space... previously bought a Suncamp Boston 5 berth and it was way too small...
Any thoughts... price wise I'm willing to go up to £1000 for the perfect tent..
Thanks in advance

We have got the Vango Lumen 500. Got a good deal on it as its a 2014 model. Only used it once for 12 nights but had no problems. 3 individual beams(which I prefer) with front canopy attached, which is metal poled.
This would be too small to fit your requirements, but the 600 might suit you as its a fair bit larger. Its polyester if thats a problem for you. But it does have mesh on both doors which is a real plus. Link to the lumen 600 and well within your budget.
Thanks for sharing your pictures... I have just been at the Kampa Croyde for the last hour.. it looks perfect... size wise though would I come up against pitching problems at most camp sites?.. it does seem to be rather large.. which is what I want but I don't want to be sized out of camp sites lol
But on the whole I really do like the look of the Croyde!!
Another one which is tempting me is Outdoor Revolution Airdale 6... this one claims to have life time guarantee on the poles... are poles expensive to replace? Do they need replacing?
This is the first time ive seen air tents so I have no knowledge of them at all... learning fast though
Size wise the Croyde is a fairly average large family tent if that makes sense. Most good campsites should be able to cater for that size of tent without trying to get you for two pitches etc.
And yes Outdoor Rev offer a lifetime guarantee on the beams which is a great selling point to ease doubts but you MUST remember to register with them after purchase. Their beams really are very very robust! As with all mass produced products sometimes there is a fault and in the case of the Outdoor Revs assuming you have registered then you don't need to worry to much unless they have reason to believe that damage had occurred from misuse etc, but beams are very easily replaceable across all major brands and depending on scenario and where you are in the warranty time then prices can vary depending on sizes.

Not meaning to be negative, more realistic, but I doubt you'll find the perfect tent, for that budget or beyond it, as such a thing doesn't exist!
Limit yourself to aiming for "the most suitable for your needs" and you'll end up much more satisfied!
Good luck... and do come back and let us know what you end up with, preferably with some feedback on your thoughts.

If you don't need anything too big, I would recommend the Airgo Cirrus 6. For the size, this is the perfect tent for us. Very easy to put up and nice layout. Good luck with your search.
We're very happy with our vango edoras 500xl. Sounds like the 600xl or rivendale 800xl might suite you. 3 or 4 bedrooms, large living area, built in porch. Easy to put up and down.
We have just purchased the Berghaus air 8 with the optional porch, amazing tent with 2 bedrooms each end, lovely size living area and a bargain at Millets online for £720 for both. Usually £1100.

We've just bought the vango eclipse 600 2015 model for a clearance price of £650 instead of £1050, from JR Leisure online which sounds like it may fit your criteria plus you can buy an awning extension which almost doubles the size of the tent (for about £360) a side awning (for about £190) and a sun canopy (for about £110), all as extras from other retailers. It's a great tent, very spacious and easy to erect.
Luckley farm camping show is on at the mo in Wokingham Berks . It's on till the 24th
There's loads of Airbeam , actually i think there all Airbeam !
Outwell / VANGO / Kampa ...lots and lots of them and you can buy the show ones a little cheaper but can't collect till it ends ....
