Hi all new to the site but not new to camping. Was looking at tents at the weekend and got to have a look around the orava 600xl and loved it was just what we wanted, but didn't have it in stock so I have ordered the vango marna 600xl 2016 and see its only a little smaller than the orava so was perfect. Anyone using the marna or orava 600xl ? What are they like and anything to look out for when pitching up ?

Many thanks Steve

Hi Steve

I purchased the Orava last week and went away at the weekend. I posted a long review earlier but I think it needs to be approved by the moderators before it's published. In summary, the Orava was easy to pitch. I followed the the 'Cross Camping method', search that phrase on youtube if you don't know what it is. It did take quite a long time as I pitched it on my own accept for raising the poles. With two people pegging out it would be pretty quick. Also first time out I had to fit the inners but I have packed it away with those attached. Only issue I had was trying to unclip one of the inner tent attachment clips (i'd put it in the wrong way) which was really fiddly due to the poor design of the clips but I'm hoping I'll never have to do this again.

I also wasn't sure which pegs were supposed to be used where but I think I guessed correctly, not that it really mattered on a still weather weekend anyway.

Enjoy it.

We have literally just got home from camping and I have some photos. Tbh it's a very easy tent to put up. The only pole that is different from the rest is the gray one that goes at the back on the sleeping area. This is a big tent and found it so roomy.

The sleeping bay is one big room unless you buses the dividers. We didn't and just put our big double airbed in.

Only hint was the poles and also put 4 pegs in first on in each corner before the poles. Don't put any in the porch till.poles in and up. Then step inside the porch and pegs the inner door down.

Il up load some pictures for you later so you get an idea of the lay out and how spacious it is
