Hi Geoff,

Welcome to the UKCS forums.

If you can't find a custom made footprint (very doubtful as the Diablo is quite an old tent now) you can either look for compatible footprints from other tent manufacturers with models that have the same dimensions as your Diablo although I appreciate that the Diablo has a less than conventional footprint!

There are a few second-hand Diablo tents on ebay at the moment some with footprints and carpets so if you don't mind bidding for one of those you might get your footprint at a reasonable price.

Alternatively purchase a cheap tarpaulin (plenty of suppliers online) and cut to size.

You don't need to put the tent over if you know it's dimensions. Just cut out a footprint that is roughly 10cm smaller in size both length and width wise than the tent. Your footprint always needs to be a couple of inches (5cm) shorter per side and front and back so that when it rains it doesn't collect between the footprint and the tent groundsheet. Having said all that I now it won't be easy due to the shape of the Diablo.

Good luck

Campasarow

Thank you very much Campasarow for getting back to me so fast. This is my first job to get sorted asap, we have tried e-bay for foot print and carpet but no joe with footprint they wont to sell as one unit, carpet we still need very much but our budget is too small at present but I will sort foot print out as we are all looking forward to going camping lol.
Thank you again
Geoff

Ive just sold one a week or so back on ebay :(
As to the carpet i used a outwell hartford L carpet in mine. Wasnt that far out in shape.

Before i got the Diablo footprint, i got a 9x6m tarp off ebay for £11 (i think) then pitched on top and cut it down after the tent was up

I didn't bother with a footprint for years. It's optional, but there's no doubt it does make packing up cleaner and easier.

When I did get a footprint, it was just a bit of pond liner. It wasn't even as big as what the tent was, but I found that having it under the 'high traffic' areas was enough to keep the bottom of the tent relatively clean. The sides never have any pressure on them, as you tend to put things like tables over to the sides, or an airbed.

I wouldn't sweat it, a footprint is nice to have, but it's not an essential.
