Anyone know what the differences are? I have been looking at 600p but after seeing several used 6p's on ebay for half the price which include the footprint and carpet - im tempted to get one of them. Thanks

Not sure what the differences are but I think the 600P is exclusive to Go Outdoors. Check out Yeomans outdoors they have the 6P on offer for £400.

bit late i know :) but yea, the 600p is 'exlusive' to go outdoors, its green too and not grey, also the shade of green changed slightly for this year i think as the go outdoors in Wakefield had a 600p up in there tent field with last years extension and the tent is a darker green, the sales assistant also said the color had changed slightly. I bought a 600p this year and took it to Northumberland for a week this August, it stood up to all the 40mph high winds that we had for a few days so its very well built.

The 600P is taller than the 6P and has a black strip along the top of the side which the 6p doesnt have. It has a rounded front with panoramic windows in every panel. Its also a different green.
600P Height 225cm
6P height 215cm

They are exactly the same height, 225cm, i have a 600p, and all it was was the last model of the 6p that gooutdoors sold in the green colour. The two heights youve quoted, 225cm is the tent height, 215 is the height of the inners. The 600p is a 6p, i think they changed its name just so you could price match it anywhere, least thats what i got told. I couldnt find any difference in the specs between the 600p and 6p. After the 600p, gooutdoors stopped selling the montana. Im sure if you took a pole from a montna 6p it would fit my 600p just fine.

Plus, they only sold the 600p for one summer. they arnt going to make a complete set of new poles for one retail outlet for just one summer. they are the same tent. its just the colour that is different, its a slightly different shade of green to the green 6p.

Beware of Monty 6 heights: Outwell have made it in 215cm, 220cm and 225cm heights over its long production run (with the majority being 215cm high) and you can't fit a shorter awning / extension to a taller tent. May also be the case with the 6P

Alot of 'confusion also comes from people posting the height of the inners and saying thats the tent height, inners are 215 tall and the tent it 225cm tall. Ive seen this myself on various camping forums. As for it being made in differnt sizes, im not sure. The 6, not the 6p, is lower and this adds to the confusion, the 6 is 215 tall with the inner being 205cm in height. Im sure this is where the confusion comes from.
