Hi everyone, we're looking to buy a new tent & wondering if anyone can give any advice about inflatables - specifically Vango Air Beam, possibly the capri 400?
Are these as easy to erect as the salesfolk tell us? and do they stand up to wind & rain - we'll be camping in good old Britain!
Also is there an increased condensation problem arising from the 'poles' being inside the tent?
Thanks

We have a Vango Inspire 600 and we LOVE it. It goes up in minutes and this last week has been battered by coastal winds, standing strong.

We always keep our tent well ventilated so have not had a problem with condensation.

Go for it - you won't regret it.

Our friends saw ours last year and went out and bought one for themselves and just this morning when we deflated ours and it made that satisfying whoosh noise there were LITERALLY gasps of admiration from 2 old biddies in a caravan!

Linny x

Weve not long bought a Westfield Quest Orion tent - Westfield have been making awnings for years, and this year have released a range of airbeam tents. They honestly are as good as they seem - I (a 5"5 female) managed to put this up completely on my own in about 15mins, including doing the footprint. We paid £350 for the package from Camping and General. The Orion is a 4 man tent, but they also do a 3-man (lyra) and 5-man (taurus).

We have recently purchased a Kampa Daymer 8 and LOVE it!
After pegging it out a few pumps and it is up. Hubby pegs out (takes same time as previous tunnel tent) and I will'move us in' we have halved our pitching and moving in time :-)

We have an airbeam (Inspire 600) for the 1st time this year. That coupled with changing our 'cupboards' for folding ones has saved loads of time & effort in setting up & packing away.

We've just got back from spending a week in Cornwall where we packed away in the morning, drove up to Oxfordshire & put it all back up again in the afternoon for the 2nd part of our holiday. All done with no stressing or cross words. We'd never have attempted that with the Maritsa we had before.

We have the vango solace 400 and love, love, LOVE it. Taken the stress out of pitching (no more annoying poles!) and as a previous person said, the woosh of deflating the poles is equally satisfying. We also divided the pitching tasks..he pegs I unpack. Took us approximately 30 minutes from arrival to sitting at our table (tablecloth on) glass of wine/tin of beer in hand.

Slightly off topic so I apologise, but I bought a new Daymer on Sunday and have found that the fixings for one of the curtains in the porch are misaligned and one is missing. I have contacted the retailer but they haven't got back to me yet, I was wondering if yours is ok?
