I've just bought a brand new tent off ebay - it's called a Force Ten Exo 2. So far so good - but I can't find ANY information about it, apart from what was on ebay (sold via NearlyNewTents) and even Force Ten have no real idea what it is/was. It was made in 2013, it looks a bit like the MTN2 tent, but the poles go in sleeves outside the flysheet, hence the name I suppose. Has anyone got any info on this mystery tent please?

Nearly new Tents is essentially the outlet where Vango sells refurb/end of line Vango tents and equipment.

To that end you can be sure it is a Vango Force Ten but may have been a special edition made for a particular retailer at the time?

Might be worth contacting Vango themselves to see if they can shed any light.

Are you sure it isn't an OEX tent as sold by GoPutdoors?

Thanks - yes, I'd already contacted Vango but they had no real idea what it was. They thought it was "loosely based on a MTN 2" - but it isn't one!

Thanks spiritburner - it's got the Force 10 logo all over it, including the manufacturing label, so I'm pretty sure it isn't an OEX.

Looking at the ebay auction it's also called a Vango Vortex Lite 200. Google that & you get the same tent. Maybe they changed the name pre-production or that was going to be the name of the Force Ten version?

It could be a sample tent that never made it into production. Nearly new tents is Vango and its where they would sell that sort of sample.

Now that's an interesting idea - it's a bit like a MTN2 and has hints of Baltoro 200 in its makeup. Looks as though it might be the case that I have a mongrel tent, rather than a purebred pedigree one....

Only reason I know is I picked one up a few months back, new.

Since sticking this up I found out why it wasn't sitting right, user error.

Nights in use 0, it was due to be coming with me to Iceland tomorrow.
