We purchased the skyliner for our Edoras 500XL. I would say it's worth having. Keeps the roof of the main tent dry and protected from UV, bird poo and the like!
IT has a slivered reflective underside which seemed to eliminate condensation and keep the tent that bit cooler in the day and warmer at night.
