Hello all,
Just wondered whether any of you have a Vango Neva 600xl. This is the tent I am after. I went to see it up last year at few places while making the decision. Have now decided after the long winter months that is the one.
The only thing is that I thought it had the tension straps inside the tent. I then happened to be watching a clip of the tent and couldn't see the bands and they were not mentioned. They are on the list of specifications from the people I will buy the tent from however I have noticed that they are not on others. Also the tent is now not on the vango web site. I called the shop in question but feel that they might have just read it off their web page???
So I wondered if any of you had the tent and could help.....does the neva have the tension straps inside the tent?
Thanks in advance for any help on this matter.

Hi, no it has not got the TBS straps as it's a steel framed tent... it is now discontinued so make sure if you get it and you want any accessories for it like the carpet and footprint (others may fit) get them now. The front porch has no groundsheet, that groundsheet is part of the footprint pack.

Ahh. I did wonder if that was the case (now seems obvious). It was your clip i was watching that raised the question! Does the fact that it has discontinued present any problems with reguards to getting spares or are poles etc standard things?
Glassfibre poled tents are easy to get spare pole sections... Steel are not always so easy as in you would have to contact Vango rather than just pop into a camping store. Saying that it would have to be pretty terrible for the poles to break. You would of packed up and gone home first.
It's great tent but double check the width of the bedrooms as it's not really a 6 berth and each double is very tight. What I'm saying is depending on who and how many and what sort of bedroom layout you want you might want to check this out.

I am going to go ahead and get it as we are only a family of 4 (2 adults,2 children). I am aware that i might need to regig the bedrooms(thanks to your video) but i am handy enough at sewing. One of reasons i like the tent is that it is a very similar dimension to my current tent.
Thanks again.
