Hi folks

I am after your thoughts on what we should go for to upgrade on our Minnesota.

First let me explain why we like the tent we have:

Metal poles! We had a terrible experience with a geodesic fibreglass pole tent on the Gower about 8 year ago and i swore i wouldnt go camping again unless we got a bombproof tent, and the Minnesota ticked that box according to reviews

The quality is brilliant. We've only used it about 4 times in the last 5 years but in the preceding 3 (pre children) it was well used, and in that time weve never had a leak or any kind issue with the fabric of the tent.

Good headroom. My hubs is 6'3" and he can stand up in the Minni which he likes

Now onto the reasons for upgrade:

Children!! Thats it really, the tent we have is a four man, and we are now a family of four. Even though i think its a really big four man tent, its really only good for sunny weekends and we would like the option to camp for longer regardless of weather.

So, i know the Montana is an obvious choice, but my friend gave me pause for thought when he said he recently bought a Higear Kalahari, having owned a Berghaus tent and is really happy with having tonnes of space and sleeping options.

So my question is, what would you recommend we buy?

Thanks for reading :)
