Need some advise...,, I'm watching an outwell bear lake 6 tent on eBay, it states on the listing that some of the plastic floor lugs have broken! But this doesn't affect the tent in wind or rain! The tent is about 8 years old! I've asked the seller a couple of questions about it but I'm still unsure of
A. What are the plastic floor lugs?
b. How much would it affect the stability of the tent in high winds?
The starting price is £100...., Your thoughts would be appreciated
Thankyou

There are plastic floor lugs glued to the inside of the zip in groundsheet. These are to attach the inner tent to. Depending on which ones are missing the inner tent could be hard to keep in shape, for example there is one in the very middle that locates the bottom middle of the inner tent in place.
There are also plastic lugs underneath the zip in groundsheet which are pegging points.
There are so many Bear Lake 6's that crop up on ebay I think I'd be tempted to wait for an undamaged one, or even a Wolf Lake 5 which had the porch sides that extended all the way down.
The sweet spot for Bear Lake 6 was 2011-2012 in terms of features. More recent ones lost the opening windows and the groundsheet was less heavy duty. Older ones are still excellent but lose some nice touches like the guy line holders and stripey bedroom inner tent.
