Hi, last year we bought the Berghaus Air, 8 it was our first tent and we had a few camping weekends which we enjoyed and while the tent is superb we found that we had to cook outside without any cover and if it rained (which it did) we had to cook indoors which isn't ideal, has anyone any idea of a decent awning which will go with the tent where we could cook and sit outside while still undercover, we looked into the air poach but this would still mean we would be inside and that's what we don't want, sorry if it's long winded we're new to camping so we're a bit unsure of what would be best. thanks.

I have a Berghaus Air 8 and the air porch.

Only used it a couple of times but love it!

And use the porch for cooking with no problem - just open up the main "door" all the way by unzipping it fully, and rool up/tie them back so the front of the porch is then fully open.

Just make sure to have your cooking equipment - whether gas or electric - near the open door rather than the main tent

Second the reply, air porch is very roomy and perfect for cooking in. You don't even need to use it as an entrance as there are doors both sides of the tent.

I was going to ask the same question, we have the 6 and have just come back from a mixed weather weekend and had to leave everything in the rain and cook in the rain etc, I didn't know if there was a tarp we could users I wasn't sure about cooking in the porch. Looks like I had better find a great deal on a porch so hubby will let me buy.
