It is a bit like an illness isn't it.
Haha! I'm a recovering tentaholic! After more tents (and other camping units) than I care to remember, I'm no longer compelled to buy and collect new canvas abodes and have whittled down the kit so we no longer need a room in which to store it all. I realised, finally, that we really didn't need a tent for every occasion and the more we had, the fewer times each one was used. It took years for me to acknowledge though!
I think the demise of privately-owned camping shops, with their wonderful seasonal outdoor displays in a tent field, has dampened my enthusiasm to buy. Over the years - and as tent prices escalated - displays became smaller and were finally moved indoors, before premises shut or sold out to the likes of GoOutdoors. Nowadays, displays of canvas tents seem limited to travelling stores (and essentially restricted to the south of England) and so viewing requires greater planning. I'm more of a spontaneous buyer (or I was).
Sorry, can't help with info on the tent. Is it like the Isabelle?
Just had a nosey at the tent. Have you noticed that Cabanon do one by the same name (200 X 400cm)? It's not easy to pin down Cabanon prices nowadays. Any idea on the price difference?
It is like an old fashioned scouting ridge tent Lidds. I have looked at them (and the cabanon version) since selling my ridge tent. Bct was the other option but I fancied a light coloured one and quite liked the size of the 5 (3m x 2.5) from memory.
My husband didn't like the ridge because he couldn't stand up in it whereas me and my daughter loved it.
I think that the tipi will be going. Fact is that we now choose to stay in a holiday cottage in the winter and have a city break these days so we no longer need a tent like that with a wood burner.
This tent is smaller than the albatros and will be used for weekends.
I have woken up to lots of text messages from my bank asking me to text them back if the transaction is genuine so a security check. All is well, I don't mind those.

What do you think of the Chic Chocs? I did consider one as a weekender but - my old bugbear - do like an inner tent, plus, the interior only measures 2 x 2m.
What a nice, simple tent. It's a more usable size than the Chic Chocs and a better height at 190cm too. And, doors at both ends will make it better ventilated and more versatile.
I think you've found yourself a winner there, and look forward to hearing about it!
