Hi, I'm in process of buy a new tent and my choice was between msr elixir 2 and the vaude terra hogan 2p but now I've come across this new one by wild country,, helm 2. It looks just what I'm looking for but with it being new out there, I can't seem to find any reviews? I want to know how it would hold up in extreme wind and weather conditions!   Has anyone got this tent and help me make up my mind ???

How extreme?

Wild Country list it as a 3-season tent, which generally means it is not designed for extreme weather. For that you'd want a 4-season design like a Trisar/Quasar.

Hi , thanks for your reply,, most of my camping is wild camping in the highlands of Scotland,, so it can get pretty severe up there. I noticed that they hi lighted the helm as a only a 3 season tent which set off alarm bells. I've decided I'm going to go with the msr elixir 2 as most reviews are highly recommended. And the quasar is out of my budget, Hope I'm making the correct choice.

The pole configuration looks best on the MSR out of the three. The more crossovers the better.

I have it in my mind that MSRs have a reputation for being a bit draughty, but that's not based on anything other than hearsay.

The Wild Country Trisar 2 is in the same price bracket and, while not being the full geodesic like the Trisar 2D, might be worth a look?
