I am so sorry if this thread exists somewhere but doing a search on "stand up" didn't yield anything and there's a lot of info on this board.

Simply put, due to personal mobility issues I need to buy a decent tent which has at least one covered area in it which I can stand up full height in (I'm 172cm). It would also need an entrance which I wouldn't have to crawl to get through (though stooping is fine).

Goes without saying that it needs to be decent enough quality to withstand a downpour over the course of a long weekend.

Everything available with standing areas are at least 4-man and generally upwards of that which prices me out of the market except for second hand options. Therefore I need to scour places like Gumtree, eBay, Freecycle, and suchlike - which is proving difficult and very long-winded without specific tent brands/models to search for.

Any recommendations would be very gratefully received!

Would a Wild Country Zephyros 3 do the job? I'm not sure how tall the door is or how much living area you're wanting but they're reasonably priced, pack down small/light and you can stand up in them.

Thanks Sean - a quick look on Gumtree and Preloved yielded none, and the cheapest on eBay was £247.99 - but yes, you're quite right, that style would be perfect for a single traveler!

I bought an Outwell Indian Lake second hand for about £250.
We love it .It's really tall as it is a tipi . Very easy to put up.

I probably should have mentioned my budget is £40-50, which is why I'm camped out on at least 7 auctions currently in the hope one or two don't get much attention!

Hello almost....

May I suggest to you to consider a QUECHUA Arpenaz 4.1 Family from Decathlon.

There is a store local to you:-
45B Caswell Rd, Northampton NN4 7PW

When I went to a Crawley, West Sussex store, they were on offer for £60

Kind Regards James

Thank you Poppy.

I visited the Trespass Website and saw a 'Trespass Caterthun 4' tent, for £100.

Looks like 2 EHU cable entry points and a side door on the LHS? If so, my wife will love it.

Just need to get more info before I decide.

Regards James

What about something like the outwell arizona or birdland 3? Even a outwell carolina (discontinued but they do appear every now and again).
