I've had the Vango Flux 500 for a few years and love it. It fits on the motorbike fine but is a bit cumbersome for just 1 or 2 night stays.

I'd like to get a smaller inflatable tent for the short bike trips but can't find anything in the 2/3 person inflatable size. Does anyone know if they are available or shall I just stick with my Vango and enjoy all that space once it's up? Many thanks

Why does it need to be inflatable? A 2/3 man poled tent will take minutes to put up if it's a decent design. And it'll be lighter and pack smaller.

Agreed, there are bound to be other poled designs available that are quicker than my several current but I so enjoy the ease of my Vango that I'm planning on staying with inflatable. Weight's not the main concern - it'll be lighter than a pillion either way. Packed size definitely is, especially when bed and so on are strapped on also and everything must always be narrower than the handle bars - bit like a cats whiskers that :-).

After some searching, I've found 3. Now to find someone that has them in stock to go and see as they may not be that big a advantage. I like the idea of a black-out tent...

What about the Heimplanet Fistral? Its a 2 person, and packs a fraction of the size and weight of your Vango.

I just looked at the Heimplanet The Cave too, and its substantially larger than the Fistral and it's still half the pack size and weight of your Vango. So, theres two choices.

Gorgeous tents the Heimplanet, thanks for the find. Too pricey for me though.

Flux 200 & 300, I'd forgotten about those. I actually looked at the 300 but the 500 was the same price at the time so went for the 500. Vango no longer make that range but I could look on the Bay for a secondhand one.
