We are currently caravanners but at the end of this year we will be selling our van and buying an air tent.
We have had several Kampa awnings and love them - we currently have one of their Air Awnings.
Having researched air tents (a little!) it would seem that Vango Airbeam come out better in reviews than Kampa. Does anyone have any experiences of either (or both) please?
We would be looking at an 8 man tent - the Kampa Studland or a Vango Inspire or Illusion 800 XL - or similar.
Not looking to purchase until Spring next year but I like to be prepared!!
Many thanks
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
As brands both are good and reliable. I have a Vango Edoras 500XL Airbeam (2016 model) and love it! Ihave owned a poled Kampa tent and that was great too.
A lot of this year's variants of Vango Airbeams have extra features such as skylights (windows in the lower portion of the roof) and the new Skytrack gizmo which allows you to hang items from the airbeams.
In the end it will come down to which tent you happen to like the best and works best for you. To that end try and get to a retailers display of tents before the end of season to see them in the flesh.
But overall, can't go wrong with either manufacturer.
