Hi,
We have just bought a Vango Beta 350 xl for weekend camping, we already have a family size tent for weeks away.
The Beta 350 is perfect for the two of us, quick and easy to put, plenty of space for all our junk!

The only thing is the doors open to roll round and by tied back.
On our other tent you unzip the doors, then you can use two poles have have a sun shade/rain shade.

Has anyone got any ideas we can use with the 350 xl tent, that is quick and easy to put up.

I guess in an ideal world, it would clip onto the poles on the tent, have two pole to support it with some guys.
Any ideas tips would be great :)

Cheers guys,
I had seen the Vango one, but it was not very clear how far out it came out. the website only gives a packed size, the pic looks as if it does not come out far enough to be a sun shade, looks as if it might be more of a rain cover for the door?

I had not seen the Freedom trail one thou....our tent is only 145 mm high, but that look looks it is 200 high.
I dont think looking at it the poles are adjustable to lower it down.
But I might be able to pop into go outdoors and ask them.
But cheers for getting back to us, it is the sort of thing we are looking for, just trying to pick the right one :)

Yes the freedom trail is more suited to standing room tents. But - the pole is a fibre glass sectional one so you could probably still use it and either just not put all of the pole segments up or even just remove some (dead easy to do) to make it a suitable height. Alternatively ask around to see if someone has a spare pole you can use which is smaller. The tent end of the tent might also be too long though. However it's likely Go Outdoors will have one up and also have a tent similar to yours so if you go on a quiet day and sweet talk them they may try it for you.

The Vango adventure tarp has some reviews on here which include the sizes - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/tents/p/Vango-Adventure-Tarp/2943

Manky Millets also do a Eurohike one which is only £20 and if you buy immediately has another 20% off but that offer finishes either today or tomorrow. I dont know if it comes with a pole. The Decathlon one comes with 2 poles.

This is our Vango Adventure Tarp with our Vango Arc+. It is plenty big enough to keep the rain out and provide space for the stove. Its a bit of squeeze for both of us to sit under though.

You can use an adventure tarp on a Vango Beta but it works better backwards, as in with the elasticated edge over the front pole. it doesn't give you much coverage though as it is designed for tents with front not side doors.
Vango do a tunnel tarp for the Beta, we have one and it works really well, a bit dearer though.
