Does anyone on here have the above tent from decathlon?
I have a vango Eos 350 that I've had for a few years now, but I'm liking the idea of the inflatable tent, and could do with a lot more room, especially in the porch which the 4.1 XL seems to offer
I've started to get away camping more often, so will it stand up to th test of time? Is it only really suitable for summer use, or could I use it slightly off season too?
Cheers
Ciaran
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
It's not the prettiest inflatable tent on the market (WHY make the air tubes blue?) but I've always found Quechua/Decathlon tents to be good value for money. We once spent a horrendous thunderstorm in France in one of their pop-up Air tents and it stood up to the weather admirably, so no complaints there.
Decathlon offer a 2-year warranty and have stores all over, so should anything go wrong within that time I think the backup is pretty comprehensive.
I personally think that - if you can get past the utilitarian/paddling pool look, it's a decent tent. They incorporate a double-layer living area roof (if you know what I mean) which provides better insulation properties, on all their larger-model tents.
The sloping front door could be a nuisance in the rain (can be said of all sloping front tents) and it looks as if it doesn't fasten along the bottom edge (again, could be improved upon but lots of tents are like this).
For under £200 it looks pretty good to me (in fact, I've considered buying one as an overnighter/short stay tent, since the pack size isn't too huge and it weighs just 10.5kg, which has to be a bonus!
Let us know if you get one and please do a test pitch with pics. I'm sure there will be lots of interest in how you get on with it.
