Does anyone have the footprint and can tell me if it's correctly sized to be slightly smaller than the groundsheet?

I'm assuming it doesn't extend into the porch/canopy area.

It only covers the bedrooms and main living area-not the porch.

I think it is only slightly smaller than the tent. It might just be my rubbish pitching, but I sometimes have to tuck one side back under the tent, to keep it hidden/out of the rain.

They are a bit smaller so it's harder for water to get trapped between the footprint and the ground sheet and they are that little bit tougher than a cheep 15/20 quid tarp.

Thanks Gary, I'm happy to buy the proper footprint but as you say I wanted to be sure it was slightly smaller.

On our Croyde we had to put a fold all the way down one side as it wasn't small enough and poked out causing the above problem.
we sealed it with gorilla tape.

Ah! But those on here are campers, and know what we want/need!

The designers sit at a drawing board, looking out of their double glazed windows at the rain dripping off their BMW's, and noticing the dry patch under the car!
Thus, vertical rain depicted on said drawing board gets nowhere near their sketch of a perfectly centred footprint.

In reality it (the rain) trickles down the fly sheet, around the bottom edge (which is usually rounded to varying degrees) and then drips off 2, 3, or even 4 inches inside the edge of the tent base... right on top of the Footprint!!

Oh, nearly forgot...
If you need to adjust your footprint, here's a drawing I did earlier... and no... I'm not a designer!!




That way, any eyelets (or similar) remain at the edge, and don't get lost in a fold!

Make sure it's proper Gorilla Tape... it's bloody good stuff! Mine's truly and reliably still in place after countless uses, in all weathers, over all 4 seasons, after 3 years and counting...
