I've got a kampa Hayling 4 air and up til now we've used a kampa breeze pump which hasn't been very satisfactory and has now given up the ghost completely. So I'm looking for a new electric pump. I'd like the bravo bp12 but my husband says we can't use it on our car battery so I was wondering whether a diy compressor such as a Ryobi one which uses a rechargeable battery would be a good replacement. Thanks :)

I know it is a kampa but the Kampa gale is good. You could need a socket and crocodile clips to use direct from battery or, if your car cigarette socket is 10amp, it will run through that.
It also has all the connections you could need but it is loud....

I have the same tent and the pump supplied was as useful as a chocolate teapot. I used my old electric pump only problem it doesn't give psi reading for air beams.

My kampa breeze died after the first time we use it on an outwell hornet was lucky that the shop on site sold the hand pump or we would have had to go home. Bought the gale this year but haven't tried it on the hornet yet but had no problems with it on your drive away awning, alot quicker as well
Cterry we have the original Kampa pump, its brilliant, cost quite alot but cannot fault it. A two stage pump, once the 2nd part kicks in it's like a compressor
But the battery is in the boot of our estate, which means taking half the stuff out before we can pitch or not being able to pitch where we want to because of getting the car close.
I read on the forums last year i think about little acid batteries, so you can pump up where you like, I don't think ciggie lighters give enough power for our pump.
Anyway check out my post and the fabby help I got, and it works a dream, our side porch is on the right looking at the tent so we want to be as far as poss over to the left on a pitch and with the battery in the car this was difficult. but now we can pitch where we like.
