I've just got a 2nd hand Vango Vista 800 and have a couple of questions I've failed to answer with web searches. I don't want to fully unpack the thing yet and have a play as it'll just get wet, I don't have enough space indoors.

1. I see there's a "Vista 800 DLX" I assume looking at images that's a version with 5 poles? (Mine has 4)
2. The poles aren't colour coded, am I right in assuming the two centre ones are the longest?
3. The flysheet/groundsheet is nigh on impossible to fit back into the bag - does anyone have any hints? As it is I'm thinking if just getting a few straps and storing without the bag.

Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes

New! Please upload a photo of your tent to the Tent Showcase!

Are you trying to fit the poles back in the bag too? I find with the tents that I have had with both metal and fibreglass poles that it is lighter to carry and easier to get back in the bag if you split the poles from the flysheet and carry them separately...just don't forget to take both bags when you go camping.

I don't know your specific tent but if it is this one it would seem the two centre poles are longer than the end poles.

One other tip which makes folding the tent easier is to make sure the doors are open when packing away so that most of the air can escape while rolling it up...including the bedroom pod doors.
