Anyone tried one of the Lidl Crivit 4 man tents that were on sale a couple of weeks back for £30?

If so, I would be interested to hear what you think of them.

I haven't bought one personally but for £30 I would say it falls into the 'take to a festival and burn before leaving' category.

Rain Magnet may well be right. Not sure about the burning of plastic tents, though?
My partner came home with one of their tent nets of all of £2 approx. Large and er, lightweight.

Not that I needed one but may? be useful, but if so, I don't expect it to last the season.......

Hello Richard.
             I had a quick look at the said tent in our local LIDL.

Based on experience I'd class it as a 2 adult, 1 season, dry weather tent.

Good for weekend trips, obviously not high enough to stand up in, or roomy enough for seating.

My wife and I used a similar sized one, for weekend cycle/camping.

Basically, it is what it is.

A £30 tent that exceeds all sorts of expectations except for those over 6'6" is the Polish Army Lavvu, of which I am known to be a huge fan...........(I'm 6'4".....)

Like it, Caligula, but my daughter is after a reasonably lightweight 3-4 man tent (she doesn't have a car). And my wife would be less than impressed if I bought another 1-2 man tent - I already have four!

What about one of the Slumit flashframe range? Or would that still be to heavy or expensive?
(They do a 3 person version.....)

Just in case anyone is interested - these are back on sale in Lidl now (£35 this time though) along with sleeping bags, 70L rucksacks, lantern-bluetooth-speaker combination, selfinflating roll mats, and a couple of other things I'm sure I've forgotten!

I have one of these and it stayed put in moderate winds and kept us dry in heavy rain.

Maybe I got lucky but for £30, would I buy another if needed, YES.

Would I use it for 3 nights, YES.

Would I use it for a week, NO.

Can I complain for £30, NO.

I have seen equal/worse tents in the sub £100 category to honest.

Infact, I believe in that category, some are probably made in the same factory as this one with similiar materials.
