Hi,
Have been trying for years to get the family to go camping, and to help things along bought a second hand tent late last year.
Complete novices to this camping lark, we tried pitching the tent in our back garden, but quite a few of the poles split!
It is a Zenobia 6 tent, with 11mm poles.
I have seen a pack of replacement poles in Go Outdoors, but you have to thread the cord through etc from scratch.
A new set looks to cost over £130.
Any advice or tips from people would greatly appreciated.
Many thanks
Chris
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
its a very easy job to threads the cord thr, just make the new set of poles up and cut the poles to the correct length and then pass the cord thr and tie securely. simple as that, but any half decent camping shop will have the poles and if your lucky might have enough of the right thickness to replace the whole lot for a lot le3ss than go outdoors. don't foget to get a few extra tho just in case any goes during a trip away along with a roll of gaffer tape to do a repair
Thank you,
I have seen the 9 section pack of 11mm poles that i need, just not sure about the ends, where the tent pins are inserted.
Probably all sounds a bit strange to seasoned campers, but dont want to throw money away by messing it up
Still, only one way to find out!
Sports direct have 11mm gelert poles (gelert tents are simaler to Hi Gear) in at 99p each,
i've just bought some from them. I was after shock cord and thought i would get a few poles as spares just in case.
