Possibly abit late to be asking but we went to a camping exhibition today and have walked away with a zempire Aerodome 2 pro air tent. We went to buy a vango! I was disappointed that all the vangos there had no fly screen on the main door! We don’t have one on the side door of our current vango so I was looking for something more.

The zempire has flyscreens everywhere. Masses of ventilation,10,000HH and 4 year guarantee
So anyone any experience of zempire tents, will this last me at least the 4 years I’m hoping for? How easy is it to get replacement beams because I can’t see any online?

I wouldn't worry. I've had an Aero TL classic for a couple of years which I have just put up.for sale because I've bought an Aero TL pro. I lost the poles over the side door a year or so ago and contacted Zempire who put a set straight in the post. I asked at the time about replacement beams if I ever needed any and they said they are available and just contact a dealer and they will get some sent out. I can't understand why more people don't buy these tents. I've had several Vango and Outwells over the years and I personally think the Zempire tents beat most of them hands down. The new pro range are amazing. 4 year warranty too! Isaw it in the morning and bought it in the afternoon. Fantastic tent.

I looked at the spec of the Delta force, and Airforce 1.

I was surprised they only have an HHP of 1,000mm

Even a cheap tent I purchased for short outings had an HHP of 1,500mm.

Just saying

That's because they are canvas and it's measured differently. Their new polyester tents are 10000mm HH.

1500mm is the minimum for a material to be called 'waterproof' under British Standards, so 1000mm wouldn't be considered waterproof (officially).

10,000mm sounds an awful lot. That's what tent groundsheets are normally. Must be very thick material. Good for monsoons though

It’s not particularly thick. No more so than a top of the range vango.

As for the delta force being 1000m hh I haven’t seen a cancavs tent advertised with a HH rating as previous poster said poly cotton/ canvas is totally different.

Having had this tent up for 24hrs I really cannot fault it. The attention to detail is outstanding. The ventilation is immense and the gullwing door just the looks amazing. The aluminium guy toggles and privacy windows just add to the overall luxury.

I've had a really good look at the Zempire tents and they are amazing. Really well thought out. I think my only worry was with the bigger tents the windows are half mesh/ventilation and I wonder about temperatures early/late season.

But they look superbly well made.

Re the flyscreens - that's a massive thing with me. I suffer with the heat and am also highly allergic to stings so I try to take sensible precautions. I would only buy a tent with full mesh doors and unfortunatley this has ruled Vango and Kampa etc out over the last few years.

Dealers claim it is down to cost - but surely loss of sales is more than offset by increasing the cost of a tent by £10. That's like leaving off the doors due to cost - the tent is incomplete lol

When I bought my latest tent I thought it had netting on both doors but I discovered it didn't. The flies can get in one door but can't get out the other because it has fly netting! It would be better not to have any netting providing the bedroom pod is always kept closed, at least then the flies can fly straight through.

we took the empire out a few weeks ago. With the inner doors closed it was really warm at night, too warm in fact. There was another zempire on site and i spoke to them about the mesh outer in the rain and they said they had no issues what so ever as long as the inners are zipped up on the end vents.
I think the 210D helped retain some heat.

With the front and back doors open its stay cool in the day. Its a superb tent, the beam did collapse but this transpires to be be because hubby over tightened the valve causing the rubber seal to crease and loose air. Fixed it and it stayed up!

Good to know you are happy with it and that is the main thing of course.

I don't think there is such a thing as a perfect tent...I haven't found it yet...always something not quite right

Everyone's idea of a perfect tent is different and let's face it, if there was a perfect tent nobody else would sell any
