I saw a 2017 Bear Lake 6 in some horrible weather last year and I have to admit I coveted it: great layout, beautiful and strong as an ox. I really dont like the windows theyve added to the canopy on this years model though.
Can you tell us more about the taslon fabric? Is it breathable?
PS I think there’s space in your collection for a Karsten Lacerta.

the windows in the canopy are a strange thing. in 1 way i like them - so im not feeling too hemmed in, but on the other hand i think not having windows makes the canopy stronger. the 2017 versions without windows also seem to be around £100 cheaper than the 2018 versions with windows.
the Taslon fabric is not breathable - its basically a very thick polyester and is a 300 denier material. its very nice to touch, thick, heavy and strong. its also dark green which is my favorite color for a tent!.
i very much like the bear lake - i had one of the original flat fronted bear lakes way back - and it was a brilliant tent. now that its been re-released in the taslon fabric - i thought i must buy one ... they may not be available for too much longer as the year goes by and we get closer to every manufacturers new range for 2019. so i want to get one whilst i can!.
