We currently have a folding camper, but are looking at going back to tenting. The tent we are looking at is a Kampa Croyde 8, but it is a large beast of a tent! 7.6m x 4.1m.
Will we have issues fitting on a pitch? I realise there will be some sites that we would be too large for, but would we be severely restricting ourselves on which campsites would take us?

Doesn't seem overly large, I used to have a vermont xl and never had a problem, I know site owners are getting picky due to the fact that smaller tents equal more occupancy or larger tents equal get your wallet back out. But I wouldn't be worried
It's big - some sites don't go above 7m - but not so big you won't be able to find anywhere ......there's an argument that sites who have smaller pitch limits only do it to pack em on tight. So I'd say buy what you want then find a site that suits
We did used to have a Montana 12 (which was also large) we never had an issue getting on sites with it.
However, this one is even larger which made me worry a bit.
Thank you though, I think we have decided to go for it! Eeeek.
I’m so excited about going back to camping in a tent again!

My tent I have been using till now Is around 6.5 m x 4.8m including porch but not guyropes and never had a problem.
Just bought a Studland 8 which is 8m x 4.6m excluding guys and have booked my first week this next week .. when looking for a pitch I looked at their websites and then emailed the ones I was interested in with tent size asking if there would be any problems .. none of them I chose have said there would be a problem but I chose carefully and not those that mentioned small pitch sizes.
