Hi, we’re thinking of venturing into the world of air tents after seeing a few and looking longingly as they’re ready and done in 10 minutes!
Trying to choose between the Vango Palermo 800 XL or the Berghaus Air 8. We want the maximum space but also potential for footprint, carpet, porch... does anyone have experience of either? Any advice?
Many thanks in advance.

Vango will be a safer bet for after sales and spare parts if you ever need them.
Don't forget 10 mins is just to inflate it. You will still have the usual pegging and guying to do, and these tents have a lot of pegs and a lot of guys :)

Hi

I had the vango palermo 800xl and although a great tent it collected water on the roof which caused many issues. Eventually got a refund and bought an outwell. Hopefully mine was just a one off.

To fully pitch that tent takes 30 - 40 mins including pegging with 2 people and I weighs a ton!!!! Quicker to pack up than a poled tent and the oversized bag makes it really easy to get in.

Have to say, I was impressed with the Berghaus 8 that was pitched here at our site a couple of weeks ago in those stormy conditions we had. It moved around but handled the wind & rain well from what I could see out of our caravan window.
