They are bell tent.co.uk the reviews on contact and delivery aren't great buy I can't seem to find out about a specific tent. It's for sale on eBay, new, so someone has bought stock from them and going by reviews on delivery I'd rather deal with them as they have stock. But I'm not really prepared to buy one without any reviews on the shumaxx brand. Thanks
I don't know about these and have never heard of them; but several vendors seem to come and go every season; I particularly remember one such called NorthStar tents.
I've seen one or two new names pop up this spring, and some? are just movers of imported Chinese stock, until they run out....
https://www.shumaxx.com/collections/bell-tents a quick look and the website seems pretty extensive?
I would stick with a reputable known supplier, so there is someone to contact and deal with. There are many, such as
Boutique Camping (2 companies with similar names.....)
Canvas Tent (Sibley)
Dusky Deer
Karma
SoulPad
Blacks of Greenock...….to name just a few?

Hi thanks for reply. I had a polyester tent from boutiquecamping before and the tent was fine and customer service great, but we only used it twice and bought a caravan. Now we have a different car and are going back to a tent. The one I've seen is 100 less than the one we had before and the hh is 5000 whereas the other was only 2000 I'm torn between what sounds like a better tent against a more reputable company
If you want polyester as a tent material for a bell tent (may I ask, why?), companies such as Robens and Spreen Online/Camping Outdoors both offer what may be considered quality polyester versions?
Sorry the 2000 mentioned and the 5000 were the hh. The one I'm looking at is only £179 not a lot of money but enough for how often we will go camping. I like the size and space of bell tents and thought this would suit us, just don't want to be throwing money away
Yes, thank you, I understood re HH, appropriate for polyester tents?
Is that this? From Bell tents with 5000 mm HH....

A suggestion: why not hire a polycotton/cotton bell tent first to try one out as a comparison?
I just like the idea of something lightweight like we had before and don't have much room at home for too much storage. Yes it's the grey one we were thinking of.
So after much reading I have now found that these tents come from china as mentioned by cali gulags, they buy them in bulk at around £70. Someone mentioned that they had a similar one from eBay with 5000 hh but leaked through seams. I'm going to go back to boutique camping and get the one I has before as it was well made. Only thing putting me off is the 2000hh but I'll have to pray the summer rain isn't too heavy. Thanks for your advice

So I've purchased the 5m polyester bell tent from boutique camping. We're off for easter with electric blanket and fan heater, praying it's not too cold. On these forums it appears bell tent owners are not fans of the polyester, I get that the canvas and polycotton will be warmer and probably look nicer, but I remember this one being light and easy to put up, also it was raining when we went before and when we got home I laid it out in conservatory and it dried out in no time. Will post how we get on with it.
