Just a heads up really on the kampa studland 8 Air classic. We invested in one 3 years ago in mind that it would last us a good few years.
We have had 3, two week holidays in the tent in Devon, on the 6th week off use it developed rips big rips so after blaming the kids and packing the tent away we tried to get it fixed but we have been told by two separate independent tent repairs that the tent has actually "uvd" yes a tent that is designed for use in the summer has reacted with the sun and gone brittle like paper. I have contacted kampa and they said it is after the 1 year warranty so basically tuff. Not happy with them at all as we can not afford to buy a new tent after spending so much on this one.
Save your money and get a cheaper make from go outdoors it will last the same amount off time. This is more common than you may think and I can't understand how tent manufacturers can get away with it.

The air classic is a poly cotton tent and as such can't really go "brittle". If its tge polyester version which is a 150 denier polyester all i can say is I have displayed Kampa tents for a number of years outside and the 150D fabric will last all summer, 6 months solid use pitched in the same position (that's worse than multiple positions).
So for your tent to of gone brittle in 6 weeks is un heard of, especially the poly cotton version.

That's not good. A lot of manufacturers have started uv treating their fabrics, but obviously that doesn't help you.
The problem you will have is proving that it has only been used so little, and not left out for weeks on end.
Coleman have been treating their tents against UV for a good few years now.
Even with the treatment a polyester tent is disposable, a cotton tent lasts.

The Kampa Classic material is Poly cotton not polyester.
It shouldn't have suffered from UV degradation then.

Just in case anyone is wondering have a 2017 Studland Air classic (yes the poly cotton one). I have use all over the place through storm on the Cornwall and Devon coast and bright sunshine in the South of France and it has stood the test. I do have a kink in one of the poles and I mentioned this to Kampa and they sent me a new inner and outer pole for free on express delivery, so In my own personal experience I have nothing but praise. I am sorry to hear others haven't.
