Hello,
I’m in the market for a tent, having not much experience I’m a little unsure and I would like to draw on your collective knowledge. There is just the three of us (myself, the wife and my 3yo daughter). My issue is that I would like a big enough tent that will last me, I don’t want to be buying another tent again in a year. However, I don’t want it so big that I can’t get on site? I’m going to the Isle Of Man TT in 2020 for two weeks and they are quite strict on tent size but maybe I’ll get around that by paying a little extra.
What I would like to know is which brand carries the better name or quality product Vango Air TC range or the Kampa Classic Air Pro? It’s these two brands I’ve been contemplating up to now with these models in particular.
• Studland 8 Classic AIR Pro
• Croyde 6 Classic AIR Pro
• Hayling 6 Classic AIR Pro
• Illusion Air TC 800XL
• Illusion Air TC 500XL
• Solace Air TC 500XL
Is there any other models / makes I should be thinking about? When is the best time to get a deal on one of these items, surely they much have had a slow season this year as the weather has been so rubbish.
Thanks for your input people!

We looked at the Croyde too but liked that this Vango one had a storage area at the back and two large bedrooms rather than 3 smaller ones.
My advice would be to go somewhere with lots of tents on show because you can compare them much more easily if you can see them. I would also ask to see the pack size of them. Air tents can be very bulky.
Aldi are doing some inflatable tents from next week, could be worth a punt.
We have had a cotton steel poled tent from new for the last ten years, and it is still in as new condition, which tells it’s own story regards cotton tents.
If I was in the market for a inflatable tent, then for me there could only be one make and that would be Karsten, just the psi air pressure of the tubes kinda says that other inflatable tent makers are just playing with the idea.

We have a Kampa Croyde Air pro 6 and absolutely love it, we open the dividers in the bedrooms to make one very large room and stick our double bed right in the middle of it. It has so much space and head height and we have never had a problem getting it on any pitch on a campsite so far, we owned the Croyde poled version before and never had problems with that either
