I own a kampa filley 6 air ,which I bought second hand about 4 years. So far I have been really impressed by the size and quality of the tent. We have used it in all conditions and has been treated well. That was until 2 days ago when one of the bladders literally exploded through the canopy of the tent, leaving a hole over 1 foot long . I have a kampa electric pump and was inflated to 8 psi which in the past is sufficiant. I don't know if the heat wave we had on that day had an effect ,it was the hottest day I can remember and we are in the south of France. Other then this I have been impressed by the tent ,but a 1 foot hole in the middle of the roof has put me right off air poles in the future. Has anyone else experienced simular problems with air poles.

I think there is a reason why kampa moved away from one inflation point to individual air poles. But in balance poles filled with air ,are going to be less reliable then poles that are not. If you have to inflate each pole ,then how much time and effort are you saving ?
