We are a couple with a Westie and a Cockapoo and initially thought a Hayling 4 would be fine. We went and had a look and realised that once you fit a couple of chairs and a coolbox and table and then a dog or two, never mind a child .....well you get the picture. Go for the 6 - you won't regret it. We love ours

I agree with the others, go for the biggest one you can afford, carry and have the space to transport.
