Hi All,

I’ve just bought a Coleman Air Valdes 6XL and can’t find a purpose built ground sheet.

Does anyone have any experience or suggestions here? The tent measures 7.4m x 4.4m so a tricky size to just peg two together!

I got a 7m x 5.4m tarp from Amazon for about £24, the brand was the Chemical Hut. Ultimately was too big for the tent I have so purchased a smaller one from them once I'd measured correctly. Perfectly fine for keeping the actual ground sheet clean.

Thanks very much - I can find oversized tarps, but concerned about leaving too much exposed that would collect rainwater which would then be carried underneath the tent and negating the benefit...

Just fold/tuck the excess back under the tent so the actual tent groundsheet overhangs the tarp.

We put down a 4m x 5m cheapo Tarp, and on top of that goes 4m x 5m Butyl Rubber 1mm thick Pond Liner.

Needless to say, the 12 year old ZiG off our tent is still like new!

We had to make our footprint smaller, like Pulster says, we just folded about 2ins down the middle and gorrilla taped it both sides.

The footprint size sounds a similar size to a vango rivendale 800xl which I think is 4.4m × 7.3m
