We have a Buckville 700 and it has a tub ground sheet for the front set room that has those zips and holes. The zips are so you can have a flat entrance( very useful when your children still trip over even though they have camped loads) the holes we assume are for poles or guys but as we have a full tent footprint we have never used them. As lots of people say some use it as a grassy room others not just see what suits you. X

Thanks everybody for the excellent help.

Outwell also offered this response:-

The toggle up front means you attach the toggles to the rings on the tent, and zip up the zipper, to create walls on the front of the footprint, preventing water from running in onto the flooring in the front. You can see an example of this in this video, showing a detachable groundsheet in another tent, but the principle remains the same: https://youtu.be/RAVDwZFO7MI?t=186 The holes are to allow you to still peg the pegging points at the front of the living room, and seal the hole shut.

I have the Ainsley A6 which has these two pouches with no possible use I even ask in Go Outdoors and they didn't know either. I'll tell you what they aren't good to walk on in your bare feet maybe it's an anti sleepwalking device.
