We recently went camping as a family (and loved it!!) but we hadn’t got a porch on the tent we purchased. On our return we decided that a porch would be essential. We have found out though that our porch looks like it’s discontinued!!!! I did google to see what we could do and came across someone who said that it was possible to use a porch designed for a different tent as long as it was very close in height. We have a Eurohike Buckingham Elite 8 with a side entrance. Obviously we don’t want to buy something that’s not going to work!!! Just wondered from all you experienced campers out there whether this was a feasible idea and whether anyone had done that? Thanks in advance for any advice! 😁

When we had our Gelert Corvus the side porch was damaged my wind and was no longer available. We bought a Vango Keswick side porch which was a similar size. We've since used it on our Airgo tent and it will also fit on our new Kampa. Any side porch that goes over the top of a tunnel tent should be fine.

Wynnster Eagle 6 tent also but never used as too big for most sites we've been too and were too happy with our other tent.

Plus a SunnCamp Breton 500 Deluxe for shorter camping trips which we bought at the end of 2019 but have yet to use it due to lockdown!

Your tent looks similar to our old Gelert Horizon 8, I have the porch sat in my garage but no tent to put it on (long story), if you are interested in it let me know.

Hi, just found this post as I have a similar issue. Did user DorsetGirl take your old porch in the end? I’m looking for one for a 2nd-hand Sunncamp Haven 800 i’ve acquired and wondered if you still have your redundant one?

Thank you for your offer RainMagnet. So sorry haven’t replied earlier, have only just got notification you had replied to my post! Would you believe it We’ve managed to get the correct one for our tent. The company we got it through were busy telling us they had none and it was discontinued but suddenly emailed us to say they had a few left. Snapped it up super quickly!!!!

Hi, we got our porch through Blacks. It took a while but we just kept checking their website (and others who originally stocked it) and registered to be notified when it came back in. Hope that helps 😁
