My Vango 500 Venture has died after 10+ years of use. looking for info on a Good 3,4 or 5 man tent that i can stand up in at 5 foot 10" tall. that is easy enough for a solo camper to pitch on my own. thanks in advance.

Most tunnel style tents with 3 poles in line (particularly metal poles) are easy to put up by one person. I have the Sunncamp Breton 500 plus which is the easiest tent I have ever had although it takes an age to hammer in all the pegs. I think it is discontinued now and has been replaced by an air poled version. Judging by all the problems air tents seem to have, I have been put off those though.
I can recommend Sunncamp tents though. I have also had a couple of Coleman tents in the past and I would recommend those also. One I have not seen but it sounds ideal, is the Oak Canyon
I have an Oak Canyon. Really love it and my other half is also around 5ft10 and can stand in it. I do think it would be a struggle to pitch on your own however but to be fair we have only pitched it twice so we're still getting used to it.

Fit the poles while it is on the ground. Go to the front and take hold of the guy rope that is attached to the top centre of the canopy. Pull the tent upright and temporarily peg the guy rope. Go round the back and do the same with the back centre guy rope. Fit the canopy pole and straighten it all out...job done apart from pegging flysheet and guy ropes.

I had a Vango Venture, and got sick of the endless pole threading, and replaced it with a Vango Kalu. Fab tent, I can put it up on my own it was great for me plus child.
If I need to replace it I would look at a Kampa Brean.
