Hi , long time since I've been on here.
My ten year old Filey - poles version - had a rip across the outer cloth, and in repairing this today with two layers of adhesive tape from Kampa, more rips occurred while pulling the material taut to avoid wrinkles. I guess the material has had it, and to be fair Dave at Kamperite warned me that this was probably the case. His point was that the material degrades over time especially after prolonged exposure to strong sun. The tent has done nine years of S of France summer trips of two weeks or more.
So whats my point ? I hate throwing decent stuff away, and will happily give the tent to a good cause or new owner for FREE. So tent, poles, inner bedroom, all available if anyone would like this. Repairs all done. Tent is standard Kampa blue colours

Eh? You've said that it's shagged. Take it to the tip. Trying to pass it on is insane. If the fabric is disintegrating then it's just going to rip in new places.

It might give a last gasp holiday to someone. The inners and poles might be something somebody wants. Well worth the post, if no takers here, then the above could be the answer.

9 years of South of France summer sun? They don't build them like they used to.

Sad news, but hey, can't complain after so many years of loyal service!

They are still out there (we sold our polycotton classic version last summer) so I agree, everything but the fly-sheet may well be worth a trip to collect, for someone (a current owner) as spares.

A generous offer, I'd say.

EDIT:
Ah yes... Jersey... I remember now!
About that collect comment...

I would offer it as spare parts, not a last ditch hope for the best actual tent!

Thanks peeps.
hi Mucker good to chat again. Think you helped me with my Filey purchase a few years ago.   Presume you've still got your Filey and Frinton classics ?
I'm eyeing up the Kampa Hayling 4 Classic as replacement for the Filey. Only two of us usually. Would only go a for a poycotton tent from now on and something slightly smaller. Saw your point on another thread about the larger tent you have, the more stuff you take....
I'm all for making life more convenient, so it would be an airframed model
Still have my Frinton 5 - polyester and poles version - hopefully thats good for a few years, yet.

Do the poles and inners fit the polycotton version? Polycotton lasts years, but poles break and inners get ripped.
