Hi all. I'm new to camping, and this site, and have just bought a 5m bell tent. I'm looking for a bit of advice please, which seems to be in abundance judging by the other threads. I've already picked up a couple of tips, so thanks to the contributors 😁 We've been looking at flooring for the tent and would like to know if it's worth getting the full moon or if a half moon would suffice, and if there are any budget friendly options out there, rather than having to paying about £200 for a full moon. Thanks in advance 😁

There are plenty of budget options from time to time. For my own bell tent, I have been known to use various "rag" rugs (Oxfam?) as may appeal, but also companies such as Aldi and Lidl* sometimes to cheaper tent carpeting, that may or may not need cutting to fit (nothing more than snipping with scissors) or not.
Other companies such as GoOutdoors also do more budget oriented tent carpeting?

* I think I paid around £10 for a 4msq tent carpet, which I use both in the bell and a Dutch pyramid.............

Rather than the typical flooring, why not try the polypropylene flooring available at most bell tent suppliers, cheaper at outdoor matting. Co. Uk.
Easy clean, lighter and you can jet wash it

Thanks very much for the info. Charity shops might be a good shout. I had looked at GoOutdoors but my wife didn't like the patterns.
I'll keep an eye out in Aldi and Lidl.
Thanks again 😁
