This tent is high enough for a 6' tall man to stand up in yet uses the same thin glass fibre poles as a 4' high 2 man hike tent. Any strength this tent has comes from the angled down rear of the tent which must be set into the path of the wind, if you put it up wrong or if the wind changes direction your poles will be shredded after a few hours of gusty winds.
If you must have a tent you can stand up in get one with some serious poles. Go to a camping shop with tents set up you can touch and sit in and decide why the expensive tents cost more than the cheap ones and decide whether standing up is more important than being blown down.
When I wanted a tent I could stand up in I got one of these:

There is a review of something on this site in the review section.
AS Marg has said, 2000mm is the absolute minimum to be allowed to be referred to as "waterproof".

I have about, £150 budget on me and my partner but want a 4birth tent for extra space and would prefer a tunnel tent. Would anyone be able to recommend a tent for around this price dont mind spending a bit more if need be.
go look on gooutdoors web site, you will find far better tents than any from amazon and any problems you wont have half the hassle of returning it after, even decathlon would be a go place to look along with many of the proper camping shops not forgetting oldpro where you will get a discount for being a member of this site
