Looking at visiting Newton Stewart within next two weeks and hoping the midges have disappeared can anyone tell me different ?

Not specific to newton Stewart, but they are in decline at the moment in the highlands. I live in a forest and have noticed a difference.....but...... there is warm weather just now and expected through next week. Maybe just accept you will encounter some and don’t let it spoil your hol
