I Know this post is going to get a varied response.....
I am looking to buy a new tent, prefer tunnel style in poly cotton or canvas. (No polyester)
I like the look of some of the zempire stuff but can see a few mixed reviews.
Don’t want anything OutWell as I have had a bad experience with an air tent.
I am still ok with getting a air beam tent but would need to have good quality beams.
Budget mac 2500 and want a minimum 5 berth (comfortable)
Look forward to your thoughts and suggestions.

Hi GlenBax. Can’t help specifically (our tent was a cotton Cabanon Pyramide, loved it, doesn’t fit your brief) but there’s a “Tent Advice” forum where you might get more answers. And try the Search facility in case someone else has asked a similar question.
Good luck. You’ve got a decent budget, hope you find the perfect tent.

-------------
2024 = 20 sites / 41 nights. 2023 = 9/23. 2022 = 13/35. 2021 = 11/29. 2020 = 4/20. 2019 = 13/35. 2018 = 20/33. 2017 = 10/22. 2016 = 19/33. 2015 = 15 sites / 27 nights. Didn't count 1976 to 2014.

Have a look at the Cabanon Awaya 370, all cotton sturdy tent with ZiG, we have the cotton Biscaya 370 and use a Cabanon PN20 Utility Tent for cooking duties.

The Awaya has super strong aluminium poles 28mm with 2mm wall thickness, probably over engineered, but what will do more, will do less.

The 370 is stated as 5 berth, which like all tent manufactures would be stretching it a little, we use the 370 for just the two of us, and to be fair it is a little over sized for two, but we just love all the space, added the optional sun-canopy, which finishes the tent of nicely, along with a couple of bespoke tent carpets, that help protect both the SiG and ZiG from the insides.

Back in 2008 when we bought our Cabanon from Catterick Caravans, there was plenty of Cabanon dealers around the country, but it was a time when dealers were selling of there Cabanon stock in fact we got the 370 for £699 including the sun canopy, the display model had been sold for £499, as Cabanon had gone into administration that year, sadly there are now hardly any Cabanon dealers in the U.K.

I can only think of Attwools that maybe able to help source an Awaya maybe, good luck.

I too dreamed of buying an Outwell tent, eventually did and then had a nightmare for 2 years with various quality issues, I wouldn’t buy another.

I’ve since moved to a Kampa polycotton tent which has been faultless for the last two years. Kampa may not have quite the same attention to detail or finish as the likes of Outwell and Vango but I think they are fantastic value for money and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another.

Wow, Dortje, those are very beautiful tents! I haven’t seen those before.
