Angie, you may need to look at the adaptor to go from the pump to the tent, The euo hike pump you talk about probably has this adaptor attached to it.
A friend has the Kampa Gale pump and it is pretty good, its a little slower than hand pumping but then there's very little effort put in.
I have a two stage dual pump that I use to pump up a few beams whilst I hand pump others as it just cuts down on time and the amount of effort you put in
