I'm on the verge of buying a blackout tent, but can't decide between a Quechua Fresh & Black or a Eurohike Nightfall.

Can anyone tell me if the Eurohike Nightfall is as dark as the Quechua Fresh & Black? I was able to look at the latter in Decathlon, and they are impressively dark. I believe the different systems used by different manufacturers are quite variable. The Eurohike tent I have my eye on is very tempting, but if it's not as dark as the Quechua, then Quechua wins. I've just discovered that the Reading branch of Go Outdoors has a tent display field, so maybe I can see for myself - but I'd be interested if anyone has experienced both and can make a comparison.

The Quechua '2 seconds' tents also look super-easy to put up, but the Eurohike Avon has a generous lobby area which is putting it in the lead. Anyone able to say how well they compare in terms of tear resistance / waterproofness / resistance to wind, etc?

I can answer the Fresh & Black vs Nightfall question myself, now - having been to Go Camping in Reading and seeing the inside of the Eurohike. Unfortunately, the Eurohike Nightfall system is nowhere near as dark as the Quechua Fresh & Black. It just consists of a black mesh 'inner room', but a traditional, somewhat translucent outer tent. The Quechua, on the other hand, has a black mesh inner room plus an opaque outer tent - white on the outside, black on the inside, which I think does the major work of light exclusion.
I loved the Eurohike Avon tent, otherwise - really generous porch area, which I like. If you are happy to have the light merely dimmed, this could be a good choice.
For me, I like to sleep in total darkness if I can - have always struggled with that aspect of camping - and so the Quechua is the obvious winner.
