Hi. I have just bought a Hi Gear Horizon 400. When I inflate the channels the ends blow up and don't inflate all the way along. The pressure therefore builds up and pops the pump out.
Am I missing something? I have tried to lay the channels as flat as possible but they kink up and the air wont pass along them.
Hoping to be camping tonight!!
Thank you

Are the valves open? Is it the push out or in type?

Yes the valves are open. It partly inflates but then stops

Check your pump. I had similar with a different tent and the problem was a small hole where the flexible tube joined the pump. It'd partially inflate then the pump would fly off the valve.

Now sorted. I am not sure if it was because it was new but with two people to put it up, one holding out the beams, it was much easier! Thank you.

We have an Airgo Solus 4 and our way of doing things is to have one person inflating the beam and the other working from the opposite side helping the beams to the upright position as they inflate.
This has worked for us over the past 4 years.

Yes, I think that is the way to go. I struggled for ages and once my husband arrived and I held the beams it took 10 mins to put up!

So not possible to solo-pitch then?
That's a poor show for a standard sized 4 berth tent.

Sounds as though there’s a twist in the inner air bladders.

I agree a twist sounds likely. Might be a good idea to confirm that or otherwise as could affect the structural integrity and make itself known on a windy night. Good luck!
