Hi, I last went camping with my Outwell Nevada M in 2018 and am desperate to get back out there as I couldn't last year.
I was a bit worried that my tent may be mouldy or eaten by mice in the attic, so I took it to a park to set up and check it over. I found one of the poles has a split in it (I vaguely remember seeing this in 2018). I decided to replace the section today in advance of going camping next weekend.
At some point in the past I've bought the Outwell 12.7mm Durawrap replacement poles kit so I dug that out and started to replace the broken section. To my surprise, the replacement sections are about 1 inch shorter than than the original. Unfortunately I had no real choice other than to go ahead with the replacement. As it's only an inch, I don't think it will be noticeable when the tent is set up.
I just think it's a bit rubbish of Outwell to provide these packs, which don't actually list the length on the packet anywhere. In the past, my experience has been that replacements are longer so you have to cut and file them to the right size.
I am now probably going to have to buy a vango replacement pole section as they come in longer lengths and I'll cut it to size (if another section breaks in the future).
