Hi I am wanting to buy a tent for 4 people but need plenty of bedroom space, separate ones at that as 2 teenagers who need to be miles apart and mum and dad. We have looked at that many for sale we just don't know whats best. Ideally we want the polycotton and metal poles. There are some great tents out there but looking at the size I just think there may be a problem with campsites and pitch sizes, some of the tents we have looked at are over 7m by more than 6m. We also want one that is fairly easy and quick to erect with built in ground sheet. I am not a fan of the airbeam tents. I have looked at loads of Outwell tents and not at any other makes so hopefully people can recommend others.
Many thanks in advance.

The reason I am asking is that, you could get a 4-berth tent for the adults with a decent living area for the whole family, and get a separate pup tent for the children for sleeping.

What navver says is true and make sense and certainly address your need for space between the rabble and is in fact what I would go with. On the downside (and there always seems to be at least one with camping) I've seen quite a few sites charging for or even banning pub tents. Still if one site does that then find another nearby.
