My partner and I are looking at replacing our old blacks calder 4 berth. We want to get a better quality tent that will last a long time. Things we deem important are pack size - not too chunky or heavy (5KG max?), a nice size porch, suitable for spring/summer camping. We usually go for 3 days or occasionally a 1 nighter locally which is why we don't want it to be too cumbersome but we do drive/camp so won't be carrying it miles.
I was looking at the Robens Pioneer 3ex but was considering buying the Robens light dreamer 3 off eBay but am a bit wary as the seller doesn't know how old it is and I think it was discontinued 10 years ago. Budget would be £200 max, any tips or advice greatly appreciated!
Don't forget to leave a review of all tents you've used, for a chance to win fantastic prizes
I'm surprised you haven't had oodles of replies on this as there are a myriad of tents that (may) suffice?
To throw my hat in; have a look at Decathlon's range, or perhaps the Vango Halo 300. a tough no nonsense and practical tent. I have the 200, and whilst I am not a fan of plastic tents if I can avoid them, I do rate the Halo and is not expensive Also an HD version is available (called the XD??)
