We currently have an Outwell Nevada M, 5 man, pole tent and front awning. We are considering replacing it with an air tent.
We've been very happy with the tent we have but would like one that has a proper door on the front of the awning (we have a make shift one) to expand the living space.
We've not been able to view many air tents, but the large 7 man one we have seen was massive when deflated and packed away. Are air tents comparable with pole tents when packed up, or are they generally larger?
Any feedback would be gratefully received.

We usually roll the poles inside the tent so don't have a separate bag, though we do have a second bag containing the awning.
The packed size is a critical consideration as my OH refuses to tow and we have to use the car and roof box ... currently quite full, so we'd not fit a much larger tent in.
If packed size and or weight matters to you might I suggest that you you visit one of the larger camping stores and have a look. You may be able to see your desired tent erected and also be able to check the bag size and weight.
We did this when we got our tent.

I forgot to mention Decathlon who also have stores in Edinburgh and Glasgow.
When we decided to come back to camping after a 12 year break, we found that by making direct comparisons with tents on display and their packed size and weight, was a essential factor in our choice of tent and equipment.
