If the inside of the flysheet is sticky it suggests that this is a nylon tent and that the waterproofing is unwell.
As suggested above put the tent up and let it air, the stickiness may evaporate off either curing the problem or causing the waterproofing to crumble away as it dries.
Ignoring the problem and leaving the tent rolled up until you actually need it could result in your discovering the tent is no longer waterproof on the night of the storm when you are sheltering inside it.
Is it possible that the tent was just a tiny bit damp when you last packed it and it was stored in a shed, loft or garage that becomes incredibly hot in summer?
------------- Enjoy the liveliness of the syntax.
